Concern raised over speeding in Wooler
New concerns have been raised by residents about motorists speeding on the southern approach to Wooler in North Northumberland.
And now parish councillors are to ask the County Council to look into the possibility of creating a pedestrian crossing near the main A697 road.
Police have carried out a traffic survey which has indicated the number of drivers speeding does not actually warrant enforcement action such as a camera but officers are continuing to monitor the situation.
